Hello, my name is Don Nosko. I’ve been in the military now for about 18 years active duty, and 24 years total service. I joined in 1995. I was with the 82nd Airborne out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I was a paratrooper for six years.
During my time there, I had a bad parachute landing, where I compressed my spine. That happened in 1998. After that, during my time, I was in excruciating pain. I had pain from day one. I’ve had numbness in my hands and tingling in my feet and legs.
After the active duty portion of my stint, I came back to Minnesota in 2001. I got a job doing construction. Needless to say, that’s not a good profession to get into if you have back issues. I constantly had back pain.
Regular doctors told me they couldn’t find anything wrong. But every night, I was sleeping in the fetal position because the pain was so bad. The doctors recommended different treatments, but nothing seemed to work.
I was introduced to Pain Free Patriots by a friend of mine. I called Pain Free Patriots and immediately got an interview to come in. I did my interview and about two days later, I had another call back saying I was accepted.
I came back in and immediately started receiving treatment. I would say from the very first day, I’ve seen a huge improvement. I had a constant pain level of probably a 4 to 5, and I’d say now it’s a good 2 to 3. It’s very tolerable now from the treatment I received.
Growing up, my parents always said, “Don’t go to anyone but a normal doctor. They are the only ones who can help you.”
I believed them. It wasn’t until after my accident that I started looking for other ways to get help. The only thing the regular doctors could do for me is tell me to “take this pill, take this pill, take that pill.” It would knock the pain out for the 10 minutes it lasted, but I would wake up the next morning with the same pain I was in before.
If anyone’s looking to get pain relief, this is by far the best way to do it. It is the only thing that has ever worked for me. There were times when I was basically crying myself to sleep because my pain was so intense. Now, I’m able to sleep with no assisted help from medicine or other things a doctor would prescribe. Pain Free Patriots has been great.
