Pain Free Patriots has served more than 600 Minnesota veterans over the last eight years. Without the generous support of our donors, we would not be able to provide these patriots with access to advanced treatment protocols that reduce or eliminate their chronic pain.
Who Your Support Helps
There are more than 18 million veterans living in the United States and 1.3 million active-duty servicemembers. According to NIH studies, nearly 10 percent of veterans report having severe back pain. That’s approximately 1.8 million vets.
Finding, funding, and fixing nearly 2 million veterans is a huge challenge, and we have a list of veterans waiting for patriot grants. That’s why we like to focus on the individual lives our patriot grants transform. Here are just two of the stories from the hundreds of vets we’ve helped over the last few years.
“It feels really good to see people care about veterans,” Max says. Max is a Marine who has degenerating discs in his C4 and C5. As a result, he suffered from back and shoulder pain every night. His pain affected his work and his family life. After receiving treatment with the help of a Pain Free Patriots patriot grant, Max’s pain has drastically reduced. He sleeps better at night and his family life has improved.
“What do we have to lose?” is the question Bob’s wife asked him after seeing a news spot on Pain Free Patriots. Bob had lived with daily low back pain for 20 years. Like Max, Bob’s pain made it difficult to go to work and have fun with family and friends. After aggressively working his treatment program, Bob’s now in maintenance mode. “To live without this pain is amazing,” he says. “It makes your whole life better.”
